Job summary

Hume Community Housing is seeking a Senior Manager, Communications & Engagement to lead our Communications & Engagement team and shape how we communicate our purpose, priorities and impact. You’ll work with the CEO and executive team to turn complex priorities into clear, engaging messaging for customers, communities and staff.

This hands-on leadership role balances strategy with delivery, guiding content, events and reputation work while developing a high-performing team and shaping Hume’s

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in communications, engagement, media, marketing or related field.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver communications strategies, campaigns and plans.
• Experience providing trusted advice to senior executives with speeches, briefings and talking points.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop a team, driving accountability and delivery.
• Strong editorial eye to translate complex outcomes into compelling stories.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Communications & Engagement team and shape how we communicate our purpose, priorities and impact.
• Provide trusted strategic advice to the CEO and executive team and connect priorities with clear messaging.
• Oversee strategic communications, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, content and storytelling, events, brand and reputation.
• Balance strategy with hands‑on delivery and shape Hume’s voice across the organisation and community.
