Job summary

An executive leadership opportunity on the Central Coast for an experienced Director of Clinical Services within a growing aged care organisation. You will provide strategic clinical governance, quality, risk, compliance and care delivery leadership across residential aged care and home services.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Senior clinical leadership experience within aged care or similarly regulated environments.
• Expertise in clinical governance, quality systems, accreditation, incident management and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of aged care legislation, Quality Standards and regulatory expectations.
• Executive or senior leadership experience in a complex service environment.
• Ability to lead change, build accountable teams and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• High-level communication, stakeholder engagement and Board reporting skills.
• Sound judgement and ability to manage sensitive matters.
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical governance/health management is highly regarded.
• Current National Criminal Record Check or ability to obtain one.

We are sharing this opportunity on behalf of our client, who are seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Services to join their executive leadership team within a growing aged care organisation on the Central Coast.

Providing leadership across residential aged care and support at home services, this role will shape the organisation's approach to clinical governance, quality, risk, compliance and care delivery. Working closely with the CEO, Board and Executive Team, you will help ensure services remain safe, high-quality, person-centred and responsive to a changing aged care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for clinical care, quality and safety across the organisation's service streams.
• Lead and continuously strengthen the organisation-wide clinical governance framework.
• Provide expert clinical advice to the CEO, Board and Executive Team.
• Oversee clinical policies, standards, assurance systems and quality reporting.
• Lead accreditation readiness, regulatory engagement and compliance with relevant aged care requirements.
• Provide oversight of clinical risks, incidents, complaints and reportable events.
• Use audit findings, feedback and performance data to identify priorities and drive practical improvements.
• Set organisation-wide priorities for clinical education, capability, competency and professional practice.
• Support clinical leaders to maintain consistent, accountable and person-centred models of care.
• Partner with operational and corporate leaders to align clinical requirements with workforce, systems and service delivery.

About You

You will bring:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, without conditions that would prevent you from performing the role.
• Substantial senior clinical leadership experience within aged care, health, community care or another highly regulated care environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, quality systems, accreditation, incident management, complaints and continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of aged care legislation, Quality Standards and regulatory expectations.
• Executive or senior leadership experience within a complex service environment.
• Strong governance, risk management and organisational decision-making capability.
• The ability to lead change, build accountable teams and translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• High-level communication, stakeholder engagement and Board reporting skills.
• Sound judgement, integrity and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters.
• A relevant postgraduate qualification in clinical governance, health management, quality, nursing leadership or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
• A current National Criminal Record Check, or the ability to obtain one.
