Job summary

Queensland Health seeks a Director, Capability Operations and Systems to lead workforce capability and leadership development strategies across the health system. You will drive scholarships, grants, funding programs, and capability initiatives, while overseeing learning platforms and providers.

This role provides expert advice to senior executives and builds broad stakeholder partnerships. You will lead a high-performing team, foster innovation, and apply contemporary people management

Qualifications

• Strategic capacity to analyse performance of the health system and align capability products to priorities.
• Experience in a large, complex and decentralised public service.
• Knowledge of national and international trends in capability and leadership development.
• Ability to manage strategic relationships with internal partners and external providers.
• Strong communication, and policy networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for workforce capability and leadership development initiatives.
• Oversee scholarships, grants, professional development funding, and capability programs.
• Oversee procurement and management of learning platforms and service providers.
• Ensure program delivery, reporting, and evaluation; provide expert advice to senior executives.
