Job summary

Queensland Health, Caboolture region, invites applications for a Director of Operations to join the Executive Leadership Team within the Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Directorate.

The role provides strategic direction and operational leadership across key services to deliver safe, sustainable and patient-centred healthcare now and into the future, working closely with the Executive Director and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive the Our Metro North – Stronger Teams, Better Care culture plan, which focuses on improving how work is done across Metro North by strengthening leadership practices, clarifying decision-making, and reducing organisational friction.
• Work with the Executive Director, to ensure all Service Lines are strategically aligned with appropriate clinical plans that are reflective of allocated budget and workforce strategy. Develop and promote fiscally sound operating strategies leading to a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Lead the delivery of service components of the Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Directorate Operational Plan through strong governance and risk management, accountability and provide to the relevant stakeholders timely and accurate reporting with a focus on performance outcomes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships/partnerships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including government agencies, community groups, service providers, education and research bodies, staff, clinicians, patients/consumers.
