Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking an Integration Director for a 12-month initial contract with strong extension potential for a major Federal Government agency in Melbourne. You will provide strategic leadership of enterprise integration architecture, platforms and ICT transformation programs.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, engage with senior executives, establish roadmaps and governance, and oversee API, cloud and data integration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading technical teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise integration platform implementations.
• Strong knowledge of modern integration technologies such as Kong, Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft.
• Experience managing large-scale ICT transformation programs within Government.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, API management, cloud technologies.

A major Federal Government agency is seeking an experienced Integration Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise integration architecture, technology platforms and complex ICT transformation programs. This senior leadership opportunity combines enterprise integration expertise, ICT portfolio delivery, and people leadership, with responsibility for managing a team of technical specialists and ensuring integration solutions support secure, scalable, and reliable digital services.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished technology leader who can operate across architecture, program delivery and executive stakeholder engagement while fostering a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive team culture.

The Role

Reporting into senior technology leadership, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring and developing a multidisciplinary team of technical specialists, fostering a supportive, inclusive and high-performing culture.
• Providing strategic direction and technical oversight across enterprise integration architecture, platforms and delivery.
• Overseeing integration solutions across applications, APIs, cloud platforms, data services and external systems.
• Establishing integration roadmaps, architectural standards, delivery priorities and technical governance.
• Managing a portfolio of integration initiatives, balancing operational priorities with major ICT transformation projects.
• Coordinating complex technical dependencies across multiple programs, vendors and delivery teams.
• Overseeing integration platform implementations and ensuring alignment with enterprise technology strategy.
• Building strong relationships with senior executives, business stakeholders, architecture teams and external partners.
• Chairing governance forums and steering committees, presenting portfolio updates, risks, delivery performance and strategic recommendations.
• Promoting continuous improvement, technical capability development and effective cross-functional collaboration.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience leading technical teams, with demonstrated success building capability, developing people and establishing high-performing team cultures.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise integration platform implementations within large, complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of modern integration technologies such as Kong, Workato, Boomi, MuleSoft or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated experience managing or delivering large-scale ICT transformation programs within Government (state or federal), preferred
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, API management, integration patterns, cloud technologies, and interoperability.
• Experience overseeing multiple technical workstreams, delivery priorities, vendors and complex dependencies.
• Excellent executive communication, stakeholder engagement and governance capabilities.
• A supportive, servant leadership approach with demonstrated cultural awareness, emotional intelligence and a genuine commitment to developing people.

Highly Desirable

• Experience implementing enterprise integration solutions involving MuleSoft, Salesforce and API-led architectures.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior Project Manager, Program Manager or ICT Portfolio leadership positions.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional certifications in Management, Project Management, or related disciplines.
