Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Windsor, NSW, is seeking a Director - Infrastructure Services to lead asset management, capital delivery, infrastructure operations, waste and fleet, and emergency management. The role oversees a capital works program of about $120 million and a team of around 170, driving resilience, lifecycle planning and safer, more sustainable communities.

Following a six-month probation, the Council supports a hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and up to two days

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management.
• Extensive senior leadership in a complex statutory or regulated environment.
• Strong governance, probity and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver major infrastructure projects with strong cost discipline.
• Improve asset planning, lifecycle management and prioritisation.
• Develop managers and succession across 170 staff.
• Build credibility with Councillors, partners and the community.
