Job summary

University of Sydney seeks a visionary HSW Director Systems and Enablement to shape the strategic direction of the University’s health, safety and wellbeing systems. You will lead governance, assurance, reporting and digital enablement, influencing Executive and Senate.

Qualifications

• WHS degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive Work Health and Safety leadership experience within large, regulated organisations.
• Strong ability to develop effective safety programs and culture.
• Experience applying safety management strategies in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of HSW Systems and Enablement strategic objectives.
• Provide team leadership and manage budgets for the function.
• Evolve operating model with clear roles, services and cross-system integration.
• Develop governance and reporting framework for HSW.
• Oversee University-wide assurance/audit program for HSW.
• Provide strategic direction for HSW systems and digital enablement.
