Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company in Sydney seeks an Associate Director for HR Investigations and Employee Relations to lead complex investigations and guide best practices across global HR. You will partner with Legal, Compliance and senior leaders to ensure fair, timely outcomes while mentoring the COE team.

The role requires deep experience in workplace investigations and employment law, with a focus on cross-cultural engagement across the Asia Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of relevant business experience.
• Strong leadership behaviors and good judgment.
• Ability to coach, develop, and influence employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR investigations and select complex employee relations matters, documenting all activity in the case management system.
• Determine outcomes and appropriate resolutions in partnership with Line leadership.
• Partner with Legal on privileged investigations and engage Ethics & Compliance as needed on a case-by-case basis.
• Coach and counsel employees and managers on fair and consistent application of Lilly policies.
• Serve as subject matter expert on investigations/ER processes; support International HR colleagues.
• Handle sensitive cases involving senior leaders and collaborate with stakeholders on outcomes.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement of COE processes and practices.
• Represent HR Investigations on special projects and committees with confidentiality.
• Measure success by timely resolution, investigation quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
