Fortescue Metals Group in Perth, WA seeks an executive-level leader to set the technical direction for Green Iron and Industrial Hydrogen platforms within the broader R&D portfolio. Reporting to the CEO, you will drive the full innovation lifecycle from fundamental research to commercial readiness and investment-ready propositions.

Lead multidisciplinary teams, build partnerships, and ensure safe, scalable technology aligning with Fortescue’s decarbonisation goals. Perth-based with global reach.

Formación

• 15+ years of industrial R&D leadership with pilot to deployment experience.
• Deep expertise in electrochemistry, hydrogen systems or related fields.
• Proven ability to develop business cases and manage partnerships and licensing.

Responsabilidades

• Set technology roadmaps for green iron, hydrogen and related platforms.
• Lead R&D portfolio, budgets, stage-gate reviews and decision-making.
• Build multidisciplinary teams and safe facilities with measurement integrity.
• Develop partnerships, joint ventures or licensing strategies.
• Connect technology to market needs and build robust business cases.
• Guide technologies from pilot to industrial deployment and scale-up.
• Present progress and investment options to executives and the Board.
