Job summary

Mizuho Bank Australia is seeking a Director, Fund Finance in Sydney to oversee origination, structuring, credit execution and ongoing management of fund finance facilities for private equity funds in Asia Pacific. You will manage portfolios, perform due diligence, and lead client relationships while driving cross-sell opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in banking/fund finance, strong credit/structuring capabilities and experience with subscription, GP, hybrid and NAV facilities.

Responsibilities

• Origination, structuring, credit execution and ongoing management of a portfolio of fund finance facilities for private equity funds in Asia Pacific.
• Portfolio management across Asia Pacific; perform periodical customer reviews and assist with refinancing and extensions.
• Analyze, structure, and due diligence on transactions of varying complexity.
• End-to-end deal execution and client relationship management; cross-sell activities.
• Prepare credit submissions and coordinate with external counsel on documentation.
• Prepare reports for senior management (weekly, monthly, quarterly) including credit facility metrics and budgeting.

Job description

To be responsible for the origination, structuring, credit execution and ongoing management of a portfolio of Fund Finance transactions in Asia Pacific.

Core responsibilities:

• Portfolio management of the existing fund finance facilities across Asia Pacific; complete periodical customer reviews, assist with ad-hoc requests from the client and the refinancing and extension of the facilities.
• Analyze, structure, and perform due diligence on transactions that vary in complexity.
• Responsible for end-to-end deal execution: origination, structuring, credit execution and ongoing management of a portfolio of fund finance facilities for private equity funds in Asia Pacific.
• Manage existing client relationships and contributing to cross sell activities (i.e. running Client Profitability Models).
• Lead & develop new client pipelines.
• Establish and maintain an effective network of internal and external contacts across private equity funds.
• Develop recommendations for the appropriate course of action, prepare and present credit submissions, liaise with external legal counsel on documentation.
• Prepare and compile various reports for senior management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis including but not limited to; Credit facility return metrics, Relationship return metrics, Risk limits, Annual budgeting and tracking.
