Job summary

Legal Aid Queensland seeks a Director, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) to lead the next evolution of enterprise portfolio capability, prioritise investment, govern change and realise benefits while building leadership capability to deliver strategic and transformation priorities.

You will oversee the ePMO functions, drive cross‑functional collaboration with the Senior Leaders Group, coach executives, and ensure timely, pro‑active reporting to the Executive Leadership Team to enable

Qualifications

• Experience leading an enterprise portfolio management function.
• Proven ability to align projects with strategy and realise benefits.
• Strong governance, risk, and dependency oversight capabilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement at executive levels.
• Proven coaching/mentoring of senior leaders and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ePMO team delivering Strategic Alignment, Governance, Benefit Realisation and COEs.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Senior Leaders to drive strategic objectives.
• Coach executives and senior leaders through ePMO processes and reporting.
• Assess quality of project, program and portfolio artifacts and make stage-gate recommendations.
• Embed and continuously improve the ePMO function to elevate strategic project alignment.
• Provide timely reporting to the Executive Leadership Team to support decision making.
• Monitor maturity and quality of project/program management across LAQ and identify improvement opportunities.
• Foster a culture of continuous development in project delivery and change management.
• Provide direction, guidance and performance feedback to staff to ensure outcomes are met.
