Job summary

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is a Queensland Government agency focused on unlocking land, housing, planning and infrastructure delivery to create livable communities.

As Director, Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight across Priority Development Areas, mentoring a team of engineers and guiding complex infrastructure and development decisions with a focus on regulatory outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in complex infrastructure, development assessment or engineering environments.
• Leadership experience coaching and developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for infrastructure and development outcomes across Priority Development Areas.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers.
• Provide high-level engineering advice and oversee complex regulatory and compliance matters.
• Build strategic relationships with government agencies, developers and industry stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and governance.
