Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking a Data Centre Architect to lead mission-critical projects within our Urbanism + Planning team. This rare role blends leadership, client engagement and large-scale delivery across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra.

You’ll guide multidisciplinary design teams, ensure design quality and sustainable, innovative solutions, and mentor staff while expanding client relationships and pursuing major opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with current registration and 15+ years of experience.
• Extensive Data Centre design experience with strong technical knowledge.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and technical oversight on Data Centre projects.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams and set clear design direction.
• Drive design quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
• Partner with sector leads to win major pursuits and deepen relationships.
• Mentor staff to elevate studio-wide capability.
