Job summary

AECOM in Australia is seeking a Data Centre Architect to join our Urbanism + Planning team. This role combines leadership, client engagement and large-scale delivery on mission-critical data centre projects across major cities.

Based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Canberra, you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, drive design quality and mentor staff while strengthening client relationships and advancing the firm’s data centre capability.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with ideally 15+ years of experience and current registration.
• Extensive Data Centre sector experience with strong technical knowledge.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and team-building experience.
• Strong organisational skills for complex multidisciplinary projects.
• Strategic mindset to grow AECOM’s architectural offering.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical oversight on Data Centre projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams and setting design direction.
• Drive project delivery quality by overseeing major Data Centre initiatives and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Partner with sector leads to win major pursuits and deepen client relationships.
• Champion design standards through sustainable, innovative solutions and mentoring staff.
• Strengthen business performance via resource allocation, budget and risk management.
