Job summary

City of Adelaide seeks a visionary Director, City Infrastructure, to lead a portfolio of infrastructure and property assets, drive strategic direction and ensure services meet community needs.

Reporting to the CEO and as part of the Executive Leadership Team, you will guide a team of over 120 staff, manage a budget above $90 million, and build strong partnerships across government and industry to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in infrastructure and/or property in a publicly accountable environment.
• Strong strategic, tactical, and technical advisory capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead large teams and manage budgets.
• Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• inspiring and leading a high-performing, collaborative, inclusive and accountable workforce and culture, building engagement and attracting and retaining talent for a portfolio team of more than 120;
• building and sustaining effective relationships across industry, government, customer and community stakeholders, enhancing Council's reputation and impact;
• leveraging the development and management of Council infrastructure/property in partnership with the private and public sectors to generate income, create employment, reinvigorate precincts and build a prosperous City;
• proactively providing strategic, tactical and technical advice to the CEO and Elected Body in regard to infrastructure and property;
• ensuring sound financial governance for a significant operational and project based budget of over $90m.
