Job summary

Greening Australia, Sydney or Perth preferred with flexibility across Australia, seeks a senior leader to manage a nationally significant carbon portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will drive strategy, governance and delivery across carbon programs while balancing commercial outcomes with environmental impact.

You will lead cross-functional teams, strengthen client relationships, manage regulatory compliance and deliver sustainable growth across a national footprint.

Qualifications

• Requires significant senior leadership experience in carbon, environmental markets or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex portfolios spanning planning, governance, and delivery.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets, profitability and client relationships.
• Knowledge of ACCU Scheme or comparable regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to build relationships with clients, landholders, regulators and partners.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic and operational direction for Greening Australia's carbon portfolio.
• Lead commercial delivery including financial performance, profitability and pipeline development.
• Oversee portfolio planning, resource allocation and delivery across complex programs.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, government agencies, auditors and industry bodies.
• Support business development, major client relationships and environmental market opportunities.
• Ensure governance, compliance and risk management across the portfolio.
• Lead, coach and develop a high performing team and strengthen workforce planning.
• Promote safe project delivery with an inclusive, accountable culture.
