Job summary

WSP Australia in Perth is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead sustainability outcomes on city-shaping infrastructure projects. You’ll draw on 6+ years of experience, guide cross-discipline teams, and apply IS Ratings and Green Star insights to complex decarbonisation objectives.

You’ll participate in bids, client workshops and business development while delivering high-quality designs, reports and analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent sustainability related discipline.
• 6+ years’ industry experience as a Sustainability Consultant or similar role, preferably in the infrastructure sector.
• Experience with best practice certification schemes such as ISC IS ratings, with Green Star preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in project leadership on small and medium scale sustainability focused projects.
• Experience with guiding, reviewing and undertaking technical analysis covering energy, water and waste modelling; climate resilience and life-cycle analysis.
• Ability to use engineering/scientific principles to analyse and interpret project requirements.
• Passionate about developing low carbon, sustainable built environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on sustainability outcomes using IS Ratings and Green Star insights.
• Lead cross-discipline coordination for sustainable design integration.
• Oversee deliverables for medium and large-scale projects.
• Develop and mentor the Perth team to achieve high-performance outcomes.
• Manage project planning, budgeting and controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Lead client meetings and workshops.
