Job summary

Peace Lutheran Outside School Hours Care in Cairns is seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to join our welcoming team. You will supervise and engage children in indoor and outdoor activities, delivering age-appropriate programs that support learning, development, and wellbeing while reflecting our Christian ethos.

The role requires a Diploma in Children’s Services (or ACECQA-equivalent), a current Blue Card, and a commitment to building positive relationships with children, families, and the

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services (or ACECQA-equivalent) or actively working towards it.
• Current Blue Card.
• Reliable, flexible, and a positive team player.
• Complete Child Protection Training (Section 162A).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of National Quality Standards and National Framework.
• Genuine passion for school-aged children.
• Certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain).
• OSHC or similar experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work within the Christian ethos.
• Food Handling experience desired.

Responsibilities
