Job summary

Kallara Early Education is a newly opened, family-owned early learning service catering for up to 90 children from birth to six years. We prioritise a welcoming, supportive environment where children, families and educators feel a genuine sense of belonging.

We are seeking a Diploma Qualified Educator to collaborate with our team, contribute to engaging learning experiences, and support children's health, safety and development within a high-quality setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of EYLF and NQS.

Responsibilities

• Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families.
• Supporting planning and implementation of engaging learning experiences.
• Contributing to educational programs based on children's interests and developmental needs.
• Supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development.
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborating with educators, the Educational Leader and service management.
• Maintaining documentation in line with the EYLF and NQS.
• Supervising children's health and safety.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and Quality Improvement Plan.
• Maintaining professional communication with families and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families
• Supporting the planning and implementation of engaging learning experiences
• Contributing to educational programs based on children's interests, strengths and developmental needs
• Supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with educators, the Educational Leader and service management
• Maintaining documentation in accordance with the EYLF and National Quality Framework
• Supporting effective supervision and ensuring children's health and safety
• Contributing to the service's continuous improvement and Quality Improvement Plan
• Maintaining professional and respectful communication with families and colleagues

About you

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
• A strong commitment to child safety and providing high-quality education and care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing service
• Reliability, initiative and a genuine passion for working with young children
