Job summary

Bolton Clarke Farnorha is seeking a frontline carer focused on nutrition and dining to support residents with person-centred care in daily routines, meal preparation, delivery and service.

You will assist with choosing meals, respect dietary needs and allergies, create pleasant dining experiences, and maintain accurate diet information, contributing to a warm, dignified living environment at our Cairns home.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Compassionate and caring attitude.
• Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded).
• Willingness to take direction from others.
• Reliability and shift flexibility.
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• Complete a police check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support aligned with residents' routines with a strong focus on nutrition and dining.
• Assist in meal preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.
• Assist with meal selection and meal timing preferences.
• Consider allergies and food intolerances to ensure safe dining.
• Engage residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
• Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
• Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies and food safety standards.
