Job summary

Bolton Clarke Residential Aged Care Opportunities – Cairns QLD is seeking a casual frontline carer with a focus on nutrition and dining. You will support residents in line with their daily routines, assisting in meal preparation, service, and presentation.

The role emphasises person-centred care, empathy, and maintaining dignity, with shifts that suit your availability and opportunities for career progression in a not-for-profit aged care provider.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills
• A compassionate and caring attitude
• Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Reliability and shift flexibility
• Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Complete a police check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and serving
• Support residents with meal choices and dining preferences
• Maintain dining areas and ensure a positive dining experience
• Promote resident choice and dignity during meals
• Engage residents socially during mealtimes and provide emotional support
