Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking a Digital Workplace Platforms Engineer to support and evolve our Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform environments. You will work with cross‑functional teams to enable connected communication and collaboration across the organization.

You will contribute to strategic projects, lead PoC activities for emerging technologies, and mentor teammates to deliver high-impact digital workplace improvements while aligning with our architecture

Qualifications

• Three+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft 365 services and related platforms.
• Experience with Exchange/SharePoint/Teams ecosystem is preferred.
• Experience in licensing, governance and security considerations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services end-to-end, focusing on messaging, intranet, conferencing and collaboration tools.
• Contribute to strategic projects and production service initiatives.
• Deliver and support Digital Workplace Platforms in line with technology strategy and architectural objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues through operational processes including on-call support.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to Digital Workplace Platforms.
• Lead PoC activities for emerging technologies.
• Review and improve processes to boost team productivity and efficiency.
• Provide SME advice and technical support to teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach team members to achieve shared goals.

The purpose of this job

As a Digital Workplace Platforms Engineer, you’ll be part of our Digital Workplace Team within Technology Operations and Employee Experience. You’ll help deliver and support the platforms that enable our people across Bupa Australia to connect, collaborate and work effectively.

Working across technologies including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Power BI/Fabric and Microsoft 365 Copilot, you’ll support our existing digital workplace environment while helping us explore and introduce new ways of working.

How will I help?

In this role, you will:

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services end-to-end, with a focus on messaging, intranet, conferencing and collaboration tools.
• Contribute to strategic projects and production service initiatives.
• Deliver and support Digital Workplace Platforms services in line with Bupa’s technology strategy, standards and architectural objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues through Bupa’s operational processes, including participating in rostered on-call support.
• Identify and help mitigate risks associated with Digital Workplace Platforms.
• Lead research and Proof of Concept activities for emerging technologies.
• Review and improve processes to increase team productivity and efficiency.
• Provide SME advice and technical support to teams and stakeholders across the business.
• Support, mentor and coach team members to help achieve shared goals.

What you’ll needto make it possible

We’re looking for someone with at least three years’ experience supporting three or more of the following technologies:

• Exchange 2016/2019/Online
• SharePoint Online and OneDrive
• Microsoft Teams
• Power Platform, Power BI or Fabric

Experience in Microsoft 365 Licensing, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power BI report development, business analysis/process documentation or consultancy will also be highly regarded.

You’ll also bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or a related business discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong influencing, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• An ability to work across different teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Strategic and innovative thinking, with the ability to translate insights into action.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.
