Job summary

Department of Customer Service in NSW is seeking casual Digital Service Representatives to support customers across Sydney locations, with shifts offered on an as-needed basis in a casual pool.

As a frontline representative, you’ll deliver fast, friendly service using digital tools, handle varied enquiries, and maintain confidentiality while supporting your team and community.

Digital Service Representative, Sydney South Casual Pool Hourly rate: $34.22 + casual loading

Employment Type: Casual | SNSW Grade 2/3

Locations: B Botany, Engadine, Hurstville, Miranda, Rockdale, Roselands

About the Opportunity

Are you looking for a role where every interaction makes someone’s day a little easier? As a Casual Digital Service Representative with Service NSW, you’ll help deliver fast, friendly, and high-quality service to customers across our local communities.

This is a casual position, which means hours will vary, and shifts are offered on an as‑needed basis, depending on operational requirements. This means there is no guarantee of ongoing or regular work. Casual roles may be short‑term, involve varying shifts within centre operating hours, and include periods with no assigned shifts.

Flexibility and adaptability are essential for success in casual roles.

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys helping people. You bring warmth, patience, and professionalism to every interaction - even in challenging situations. You’re comfortable supporting customers in a fast‑paced, face‑to‑face environment and take pride in providing accurate, respectful service. Operating hours: In our Service Centres hours vary between locations. You can check the opening hours for each Service Centre here. Flexibility is required to work on a rotating roster between the Service Centre’s operational hours which may include Saturdays.

The Service NSW Award hours are 6:30am – 7:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 7:30am - 3:30pm (Saturdays). In some situations, you may be required to work during these hours.

Part‑time – minimum 14 hours per week - (Monday to Friday) Full‑time – 70 hours per fortnight

Hours are also subject to change based on the needs of the business.
