Job summary

BlueScope is seeking a Digital Printing Development Specialist to advance digital printing for painted products. You will combine coating knowledge with laboratory experimentation, evaluating ink and printhead technologies, and turning ideas into practical product-system opportunities.

You will design and execute lab experiments, analyze results, and translate findings into actionable next steps, working closely with product specialists to deliver complete painted product systems for

Qualifications

Hands-on experimental mindset and laboratory development
Ability to design and run lab experiments and test methods
Strong collaboration with technical and operational teams
Willingness to build expertise in Digital Printing and related technologies

Responsibilities

Investigate future Digital Printing opportunities across finishes and textures
Apply painted product knowledge to substrates, primers and coatings interactions
Monitor printing technologies and assess compatibility with product systems
Design and conduct laboratory experiments with hypotheses and plans
Analyze results and translate findings into practical recommendations
Lead concepts through to manufacturing line trials with technical input
Collaborate with painted product specialists to evaluate digital printing concepts
