Aspen Medical is seeking Specialist General Practitioners to deliver high-quality virtual care from anywhere in Australia. This 100% remote role operates within a 24/7 telehealth model, with full tech and support provided and no Medicare billing duties.

The position is casual, offering hourly rates between $175 and $200, with higher pay on public holidays. Shifts are 2-10 hours, minimum 15 hours per fortnight, and flexible rostering across 24/7 coverage.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as Specialist GP (FRACGP or FACRRM).
• Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience practising as a Specialist GP in Australia.
• Excellent communication and high level of English proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred episodic care through video and telephone consultations.
• Provide timely, evidence-based medical advice and treatment recommendations.
• Create concise, actionable care summaries and facilitate referrals to appropriate local healthcare services.
• Utilise digital health technologies, including My Health Record, electronic prescribing, and secure messaging platforms.
• Support continuity of care through accurate clinical documentation and communication with patients' regular GPs where appropriate.

Casual Contract Opportunity

• Competitive hourly rates $175-$200 per hour
• Public Holiday $245 per hour

Flexible Rostering

• Choose shifts that suit your lifestyle, with availability across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Minimum commitment is 15 hours per fortnight, with shifts ranging from 2 to 10 hours.
• Fixed shift options are negotiable for afterhours coverage and weekend hours.
• Availability to work afterhours shifts, weekends, and throughout December holiday period, including rostering public holidays, is strongly preferred

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Specialist General Practitioner (FRACGP or FACRRM).
• Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience practising as a Specialist GP in Australia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of English proficiency.

Desirable

• Previous telehealth experience is highly regarded.
• Strong digital literacy and confidence using telehealth platforms and clinical management systems.
• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and throughout the December holiday period, including rostered public holidays will be highly regarded.

Technology Capability

This role operates within a highly digital healthcare environment. Successful applicants will be comfortable using Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams and SharePoint, AI-powered clinical documentation tools, telehealth platforms, and other emerging healthcare technologies.

You will also be expected to independently manage basic technical setup and troubleshoot minor IT issues as required.
