Hames Sharley is seeking a Digital Design Lead for the Sydney Studio to drive digital design systems, BIM workflows, and efficient project delivery on complex architectural and design projects. Responsibilities

• Plan team capacity with Project Leaders and Studio Leaders to maintain efficiency and forecast resources.
• Lead migration to Autodesk Forma and drive ISO 19650 information management adoption.
• Establish BIM platforms and model workflows, reviews, and documentation across projects.
• Coordinate model reviews, clash detection, and reporting to project leaders.
• Develop and maintain the design technology roadmap and contemporary workflows.

Hames Sharley is a national interdisciplinary design practice specialising in Architecture, Interior Design, Town Planning and Urban Design. Our mission is to create sustainable and inclusive places that enable communities to flourish.

We are seeking a Digital Design Leadto join ourSydney Studiolocated onGadigal Land.TheDigital Design Leadcollectively with the rest of the Futures Group will contribute to the next chapter of Hames Sharey evolution and facilitate the digital frameworks to enable advancement of design and delivery culture.

They will collaborate with our Project Leaders throughout the project lifecycle, from resource planning through to close-out. It ensures projects are set up for success by managing complex, sensitive and technology-driven technical processes that enable efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with Project Leaders and Studio Leaders to plan team capacity and maintain operational efficiency, and forecast future resource needs by analysing project scopes, programs and timelines.
• Strategise, plan and manage migration of Hames Sharley to Autodesk Forma.
• Drive the practice's adoption of ISO 19650 information management standards across project delivery, including BIM execution plans, CDE workflows and client exchange information requirements.
• Establish project foundations, including model setup, ACC (Autodesk Forma) configuration, workflows and project documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, undertaking the complex, sensitive, high-skill or automation-dependent and documentation tasks that require advance command of software technologies.
• Lead the development, ongoing refinement and deployment of the practice’s BIM and digital design systems, protocols, standards and policies, ensuring they align with the practice’s objectives and industry standards.
• Coordinate and manage model reviews, clash detection and reporting through ACC (Autodesk Forma) Model Coordination and Navisworks, providing clear outcomes to Project Leaders.
• Perform quality assessments on projects before distribution and ensure project's technical and digital excellence of the deliverables.
• Contribute to the practice’s design technology roadmap and develop contemporary and advanced design workflows.

To be successful in this role, you should have the below skills set:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in architecture or a closely related built environment discipline (architecture, engineering or construction).
• Experience leading or contributing to the delivery of complex architecture and design projects.
• Registration as an architect, or eligibility for registration, is desirable.
• Preferred: 8-10 years of relevant experience, however applications from candidates with differing experience will also be considered.
• Advanced command of Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo and Autodesk Forma
