Job summary

JDA Print Recruitment is assisting Melbourne print specialists seeking Digital All Rounders for inner-city and northern suburbs roles. These hands-on positions span prepress, digital printing and finishing, requiring practical operation of machinery and software across all three areas.

You’ll work across Prepress/file prep, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva file adjustments, and on-demand print workflows, with independent work style and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• You must have hands-on experience across prepress, digital printing and print finishing.
• Confident with Adobe Creative Suite; must be able to fix and prepare Canva files.
• Independent and self-directed; able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Experience in an on-demand / short-run print environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service focus at all times.

We have multiple established inner-city + northern Melbourne 'on demand' print companies each looking for a Digital All Rounder to join their team. These are hands-on roles across prepress/graphic design, digital printing and print finishing, and we're looking for people who can confidently operate machinery and software used in all three areas.

Please note:This is NOT a graphic design job. To be considered, you'll need practical experience across all three areas - prepress, digital printing and finishing - not just design alone.

What the roles involve

• Prepress and file preparation: Preflighting, proofing, fixing client Canva files and getting jobs print-ready
• Working across Adobe Creative Suite and standard design software
• Assisting with graphic design if required, and talking with clients about their printing requirements; stocks, finishes and design ideas
• Operating digital printing equipment (cutsheet presses, and roll fed wide format printers depending on the role)
• Operating standard digital finishing equipment: Laminating, stitching/booklet making, folding, guillotining, creasing, print and cut, trimming, comb/wiro/thermal binding and more
