Argo Coal Management Pty Ltd – Moranbah QLD is seeking a Diesel Workshop Coordinator to lead maintenance of the underground diesel fleet at Ironbark No 1. You will coordinate activities with maintenance and operations teams to maximise uptime and safety.

Based in Moranbah, you will bring 3+ years of leadership in mechanical trades in workshop/underground settings, with strong knowledge of underground diesel gear and CMMS tooling. A focus on safe, high‑quality maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification required.
• G1/G8/G9/G2 supervisor qualifications.
• 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary mechanical trades teams in workshop and underground environments.
• Strong knowledge of underground diesel equipment.
• Experience with mobile fleet reliability, maintenance planning, scheduling and work management.
• Experience using Pulse or similar maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for the diesel fleet and ancillary equipment.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver maintenance to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
• Work closely with maintenance and operational teams to keep equipment in top condition.
• Support safe, productive and reliable day-to-day operations.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As our Diesel Workshop Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our diesel fleet and ancillary equipment operating safely, reliably and at peak performance.

You’ll lead and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and delivered efficiently to maximise equipment availability and reliability. Working closely with our maintenance and operational teams, you’ll help keep our fleet in top condition and play a critical role in supporting safe, productive and reliable day‑to‑day operations.

ABOUT YOU

• Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Supervisor Qualifications – G1, G8, G9 and G2.
• 3+ years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary mechanical trades teams in workshop and underground environments.
• Strong knowledge of underground diesel equipment, preferably within an underground coal mining environment.
• Experience with mobile fleet reliability, maintenance planning, scheduling and work management.
• Experience using Pulse or similar maintenance management systems.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, statutory requirements and Queensland coal mining legislation.
• Strong mechanical and auto-electrical knowledge of underground mobile fleets.
• Strong commitment to safety and fostering a positive safety culture.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
