Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is seeking a Diesel Workshop Coordinator based at Ironbark No 1 in Queensland. You will lead maintenance activities, prioritise work, and collaborate with maintenance and operations to maximise fleet availability and reliability in an underground coal mining environment.

The role requires a Mechanical Trade and supervisory qualifications, with 3+ years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary mechanical teams and strong knowledge of underground diesel equipment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification is required.
• 3+ years leading multi-disciplinary mechanical trades teams.
• Strong knowledge of underground diesel equipment.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling and work management.
• Familiarity with Pulse or similar maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and Queensland coal mining legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver work efficiently in collaboration with maintenance and operations teams.
• Support safe, productive day-to-day operations and drive a positive safety culture.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As our Diesel Workshop Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our diesel fleet and ancillary equipment operating safely, reliably and at peak performance.

You’ll lead and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and delivered efficiently to maximise equipment availability and reliability. Working closely with our maintenance and operational teams, you’ll help keep our fleet in top condition and play a critical role in supporting safe, productive and reliable day-to-day operations.

ABOUT YOU

• Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Supervisor Qualifications – G1, G8, G9 and G2.
• 3+ years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary mechanical trades teams in workshop and underground environments.
• Strong knowledge of underground diesel equipment, preferably within an underground coal mining environment.
• Experience with mobile fleet reliability, maintenance planning, scheduling and work management.
• Experience using Pulse or similar maintenance management systems.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, statutory requirements and Queensland coal mining legislation.
• Strong mechanical and auto-electrical knowledge of underground mobile fleets.
• Strong commitment to safety and fostering a positive safety culture.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
