Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Leeton is seeking a Workshop Technician to service, repair, and maintain heavy vehicle diesel systems across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications at our Leeton facility.

You will be trained to become an engine expert and will perform engine repairs, disassembly, inspection, and rebuilding as part of a hands-on team. The role is full-time, on-site, with overtime and relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle with Heavy experience.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
• Must have a MVTC - Motor vehicle trade certificate, or be willing to obtain one

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and /or engine components
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Additional Information:

• Full Time / 38 hours per week
• Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
• All your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
• Domestic Relocation from across Australia may be offered for the right candidate
• Local Valid Drivers License Must be certified to work in NSW
