Job summary

Cummins is seeking a Workshop Technician in Leeton to service heavy diesel equipment across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications. The role offers relocation support and a daytime Monday–Friday roster to keep weekends free.

You will be trained to become an engine expert, performing repairs, diagnostics, disassembly and engine reconditioning with a focus on safety and quality in our Leeton facility.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle with Heavy experience.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM).
• Must have a MVTC - Motor vehicle trade certificate, or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products.
• Diagnose and repair engines.
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components.
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning.

Looking for a talented Workshop technician to join our team. Working on Heavy Vehicle service, repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway trucks, industrial and power generation applications at our Leeton facility.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and /or engine components
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Mechanical trade qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle with Heavy experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive Hourly rate paid as a permanent salary
• Overtime paid as penalty rates for all work above standard Monday – Friday 38-hour work week
