• Follow procedures by researching, verifying, and applying the latest service information.
• Ensure workmanship is fault-free and rework is avoided.
• Work to schedule, completing tasks within required timeframes with safety and quality in mind.
• Promote and advise on genuine Caterpillar parts to maximise performance and reliability.

What you'll be doing

As an onsite Diesel Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will:

• Deliver quality service - carry out maintenance and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring our customers' equipment performs at its best.
• Follow the right procedures - Proactively research, verify, and apply the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.
• Do it once, do it right - take every step to ensure workmanship is fault-free ensuring quality in the finished product and any rework is avoided.
• Work to schedule - complete assigned tasks within required timeframes while maintaining safety and quality.
• Support genuine parts sales- promote and advise on the use of genuine Caterpillar parts to maximise performance and reliability.

What you'll need:

A successful teammate will have experience in:

• Safety minded - committed to always maintaining high workplace health and safety standards.
• Team player - able to work well with others as well as independently when required.
• Experience that counts - previous experience working in the mining industry and experience with CAT Machinery.
• Strong communicator - excellent communication skills with a genuine customer focus.
• Reliable transport - this role is a Drive in/Drive out role so you will need the ability to get yourself to and from site
• Organised and efficient - strong time management skills to keep jobs on track.
