Orica is seeking a Diesel Fitter to join the South Surface Coal team in Upper Hunter Valley, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of our mobile fleet and plant equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

You will perform scheduled servicing, repairs and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment, provide technical support on-site and remotely, and contribute to continuous improvement while mentoring team members and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must hold Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Fitting) or equivalent.
• Experience with mobile plant equipment and diesel engines.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical systems.
• Strong maintenance process and safety procedure understanding.
• Able to work independently and follow structured procedures.
• Willingness to obtain required clearances and permits.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled servicing, repairs and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment and plant.
• Maintain and support Mobile Manufacturing Units and fixed plant to operational standards.
• Provide technical support on-site and remotely.
• Assist with troubleshooting and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues.
• Mentor team members and contractors while promoting safety culture.
