Job summary

Orica is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our South Surface Coal team in Boggabri, NSW. You will maintain and repair mobile plant and plant equipment, performing scheduled servicing and breakdown maintenance with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Experience with mobile plant equipment and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
• Strong maintenance processes and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and follow structured procedures.
• Willingness to obtain required clearances and permits.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, repairs and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment and plant.
• Maintain and support Mobile Manufacturing Units and fixed plant in line with operational standards.
• Provide technical support on-site and remotely.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying recurring issues.
• Support and mentor team members and contractors while promoting a strong safety culture.
