Job summary

Thiess invites skilled Diesel Fitters to join Lake Vermont Mine near Dysart, Queensland. You will perform scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment, contributing to safe, reliable fleet performance.

This permanent full-time role offers a 7/7 even time roster, fully equipped camp facilities, and ongoing training. Relocation support from multiple towns and a strong safety culture are provided.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or recognised equivalent.
• Post-trade experience within the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
• Experience undertaking maintenance, breakdowns, servicing and component change outs on heavy mining equipment.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime.
• Complete component change outs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
