Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Field Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster. This full-time role offers camp facilities and a safe, dynamic work environment in the mining sector.

You will service, repair and maintain Drill fleet, perform pre-start checks, and ensure high standards of housekeeping and documentation. A trade qualification and 2+ years mining experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years post-trade mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction.
• Experience with maintenance, breakdowns, and servicing of drill equipment.
• Desirable experience with vehicle air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain drill fleet, including lubrication and documentation.
• Perform general maintenance and component change outs to high standards.
• Carry out pre-start checks and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Source technical information from manuals, bulletins and OEM databases.
