Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking a Heavy Diesel Fitter for a permanent full-time FIFO role at Bravus Mining & Resources' Carmichael Mine. You will service and repair heavy mobile mining equipment on a 7/7 rotating day/night roster, with flights and camp accommodation provided from Rockhampton, Townsville or Cairns.

The role requires a trade qualification, post-trade mining experience, and a strong safety mindset. A current Standard 11 and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic.
• Post-trade experience in mining or heavy earthmoving environments.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment.
• Current Standard 11.
• Valid Driver's Licence.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Complete component change-outs, rebuilds and major overhauls.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
• Attend breakdowns and carry out field repairs.
• Complete inspections and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to maximise equipment availability.

We're seeking trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters for permanent positions offering excellent earning potential, a balanced 7/7 roster and great site facilities.

About the Role

Working as part of our on-site mobile maintenance team, you'll play an important role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our heavy mobile equipment fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs across heavy mobile mining equipment
