Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters for permanent roles at Bravus Mining & Resources’ Carmichael Mine, offering a 7/7 FIFO roster and flights from Rockhampton, Townsville or Cairns. You’ll maintain a heavy mobile fleet and contribute to safe, reliable operations on site.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic.
• Post-trade mining or heavy earthmoving experience.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment.
• Current Standard 11 and a valid Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs across heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Component change-outs, rebuilds and major overhauls.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance.
• Attend breakdowns and carry out field repairs.
• Complete inspections and planned maintenance activities.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to maximise equipment availability.
