Job summary
The National Group is seeking a Plant Mechanic / Diesel Fitter for Peak Downs Mine in Queensland. Based on site, you will perform preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, repairs, and breakdown diagnostics on our class-leading fleet including Liebherr, Hitachi and CAT equipment.
A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and technical excellence is essential. We require a Australian recognised trade qualification with at least 3 years post-trade experience, EWP and Heights
Qualifications
- Australian recognised trade completion certificate and minimum 3 years post trade experience.
- Experience with Liebherr, Hitachi and/or CAT mining equipment essential.
- Ex‑OEM experience highly regarded.
- Working at heights & EWP tickets.
- Current ResHealth Medical and Standard 11 required.
- Outstanding troubleshooting / diagnostic skills.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and availability.
- Scheduled servicing, change outs and repairs.
- Breakdown diagnostic support.
- Contribute towards any improvements or initiatives relating to productivity or costs.
