Job summary

Haynes is currently recruiting experienced Diesel Fitters to join our Toowoomba workshop. In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment, trucks and other mobile plant.

You'll benefit from a Monday to Friday roster with overtime, a modern workshop, weekly pay, and the chance to work with a recognised industry leader.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting.
• Experience working on heavy earthmoving, mining or construction equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• HR Licence and Forklift licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Fault finding using diagnostic tools and systems.
• Completing repairs to a high standard while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
• Working on Caterpillar and associated mining and construction equipment.

About the Role

As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment
• Conducting preventative maintenance and servicing
• Fault finding using diagnostic tools and systems

• Working on a range of Caterpillar and associated mining and construction equipment

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or similar
• Experience working on heavy earthmoving, mining or construction equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Current Driver's Licence
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current HR Licence and Forklift licence (desirable)
