Job summary

Haynes Group in Toowoomba is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our client’s dynamic team. This hands-on role involves maintenance, repairs and diagnostics of heavy equipment, trucks and mobile plant, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work in a modern workshop, enjoy an hourly rate of $55.91 plus penalties, a Monday–Friday roster with overtime, weekly pay, and long-term opportunities within a leading heavy equipment employer.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or similar.
• Experience working on heavy earthmoving, mining or construction equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• HR Licence and Forklift licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining heavy mobile equipment.
• Conducting preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Fault finding using diagnostic tools and systems.
• Completing repairs to a high standard while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
• Working on Caterpillar and associated mining and construction equipment.

About the Role

To be successful, you will have:

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
