Job summary

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
• MR Licence (preferred).
• Diesel mechanic experience: 1 year (preferred).
• Australian work authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection, servicing, maintenance and repairs of diesel-powered machinery, plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and manuals.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace and reassemble engines and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and parts replacement.
• Read and interpret service manuals, drawings and specs.
• Work independently or in a team to complete jobs safely and on time.
• Maintain service records and defect reports.
• Comply with WHS requirements and manufacturer specifications.
