Job summary
Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne is seeking a Diabetes Nurse Educator to deliver client education and lead group programs. You will work within Allied Health and Education Services, primarily at the Prahran site, with some travel to other Melbourne locations and national trainings.
The role requires credentials as a Diabetes Nurse Educator, Division 1 RN with AHPRA, and a postgraduate Diabetes Education certificate.
Qualifications
- Accreditation as a Credentialled Diabetes Nurse Educator with diabetes education experience.
- Division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and postgraduate diabetes credential.
- Experience with insulin pumps and CGM preferred; capable of online delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead individual and group diabetes education sessions and programs.
- Present at health professional trainings and build client self‑management skills.
- Maintain accurate records and support quality improvement activities.
- Supervise students and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
