Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a highly motivated Diabetes Nurse Educator for a 12-month fixed term maternity cover at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The role focuses on delivering high-quality diabetes education to inpatients and outpatients, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient care.

Requirements include current AHPRA registration as a Nurse, with a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education (CDE) or working towards ADE A credentialing, and evidence of police/work

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA current practising certificate.
• Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE) with ADEA OR working towards ADEA credentialing.
• Evidence of Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of influenza vaccination and other vaccinations as per public health orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised diabetes self-management education across inpatient wards and outpatient programs.
• Serve as an expert clinical resource for patients and staff across Werribee Mercy Hospital.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver responsive and flexible service.
