Job summary

Glencore is seeking an experienced Dewatering/Plant Operator for Clermont Open Cut to support day-to-day dewatering and pumping operations. You will guide site dewatering activities and ensure SHMS compliance while maintaining equipment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include monitoring pump performance, performing inspections, and coordinating with mining teams to ensure safe, continuous operations, especially during wet seasons.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in large mining operation.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Pump maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Poly welding qualifications or experience (desirable).
• HR Driver's Licence (highly regarded).
• Experience with diesel pumping systems (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dewatering/pumping equipment and related infrastructure.
• Monitor water levels, flows, and pump performance; adjust as needed.
• Perform routine inspections, basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
• Complete pre-starts, hazard identification and required documentation.
• Collaborate with crews to support safe, continuous operations.
• Install, relocate and remove poly pipelines and dewatering infrastructure.
• Service diesel pumping systems and equipment; perform fault finding.
• Inspect and repair pipelines, valves and related infrastructure.
• Assist with dogging, rigging and lifting activities as required.
• Operate vehicles and plant used in dewatering activities.
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
