Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking experienced Pump Crew/Dewatering Operators to join a Tier 1 mining operation in Central Queensland. These 6-month fixed-term contracts support an upcoming wet-season uplift with day and night shifts across operational crews.

Starting rate is $84.64/hr, with multiple positions available (up to 4 openings). Candidates should have dewatering/pump operations experience, LeGrA familiarity preferred, and current tickets/licences.

Qualifications

• Dewatering / pump operations experience (essential).
• LeGrA (Leaders in Geotechnical Risk Assessment) experience preferred.
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow site procedures and permit systems.
• Ability to work days and nights, including rotating shifts and changing weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain dewatering / pumping equipment and associated infrastructure.
• Monitor water levels, flows, and pump performance; respond to changing site conditions.
• Conduct routine inspections, basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
• Complete pre-starts, hazard identification, and required documentation.
• Work collaboratively within crews to support safe, continuous operations (wet season).
