Jenkin Beattie Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on DevOps Team Lead or a senior engineer ready to step into a 2IC role. You will lead a small Linux DevOps team, stay hands-on with infrastructure, and drive architecture while mentoring peers.

The role involves building and running OpenStack-based private clouds, designing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining secure, compliant environments for regulated workloads.

Qualifikationen

• Strong Linux systems administration in enterprise or service provider environments.
• Proven OpenStack deployment, operations and troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of private cloud, hybrid setups and virtualization.
• DevOps capability across CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Experience in high-security or highly regulated sectors.

The Opportunity

We're after a hands-on DevOps Team Lead, or a strong Senior Engineer ready to step into a 2IC role, to lead a small, growing team of Linux DevOps engineers. This is a build and run role. You'll stay hands-on across infrastructure and platform engineering while driving architecture and mentoring the team.

Open to candidates on the east coast, ideally Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

What You Bring

• Strong Linux systems administration experience in enterprise or service provider environments
• Proven OpenStack deployment, operations and troubleshooting experience, highly preferred
• Solid understanding of private cloud, hybrid setups and virtualisation
• DevOps capability across CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash)
• Experience in high-security or highly regulated sectors
• Exposure to Zero Trust architecture or compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CPS 234) highly regarded.
