Job summary

SustainRecruit is seeking a capable DevOps Engineer for Identity & Access Management in Sydney. You will build automated deployment pipelines for identity platforms, automate infrastructure, and improve reliability, security and scalability while partnering with software teams to accelerate secure product delivery.

The role emphasizes cloud-native workloads, IAM authentication technologies and modern DevOps tooling to enhance production resilience and observability.

Qualifications

• A genuine software engineering or strong development background is essential.
• Hands‑on programming or scripting experience using Python, Java, Go, Bash or similar.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated deployments.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, Terraform and modern DevOps tooling.
• Understanding of APIs, microservices and application architecture.
• Exposure to authentication, IAM, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or secrets management.
• A strong engineering mindset focused on automation, reliability and security.
