Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Australia is seeking a hands-on Device Test Engineer with expertise in manual and automated testing across mobile devices, IoT, and industrial hardware. Strong wireless knowledge (4G/5G) and solid analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills are essential.

You will design and maintain test cases, identify defects, analyze data and logs, ensure FCC/CE/ISO compliance, and collaborate with design, software, and QA teams while performing field testing when needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing across mobile devices, IoT products, consumer electronics, and industrial hardware.
• Knowledge of wireless standards including 4G and 5G.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Ability to design, update, and maintain test cases.
• Ability to analyze test data/logs to identify root causes of failures.
• Familiarity with compliance: FCC, CE, ISO and internal standards.
• Collaborate with design, software, and QA teams to troubleshoot.
• Clear, detailed test reports and improvement recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated testing across devices.
• Wireless Technology Expertise: Apply knowledge of wireless standards 4G/5G.
• Test Case Development: Design, update, and maintain test cases.
• Defect Identification: Identify, document, and report device issues.
• Data and Log Analysis: Gather and interpret test data to identify gaps.
• Compliance and Standards: Verify FCC, CE, ISO and internal standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design engineers, software teams, and QA.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports and improvement recommendations.
