Job summary

Akkodis is currently seeking an experienced Design & Optimise Expert to drive the 5G Feature Introduction & Testing for a major telecommunications program in Australia. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in LTE & 5G RAN technologies and a degree in Telecommunications or Engineering.

Your role will include lab-based testing, KPI analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful rollouts. Experience with Nokia RAN and Australian projects is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in RAN optimisation, testing, or network performance.
• Experience working on Australian telecom projects is advantageous.

We are currently looking for an experienced Design & Optimise Expert to support 5G Feature Introduction & Testing for a major telecommunications program in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab-based validation and testing of LTE & 5G RAN features
• Assess feature readiness, performance, and deployment impact
• Support functional, regression, and pre-production testing
• Analyse KPIs (accessibility, mobility, throughput, latency, etc.)
• Troubleshoot issues using logs, alarms, counters, and traces
• Prepare test reports and support go/no-go deployment decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful feature rollout
• Strong experience in LTE & 5G RAN technologies
• Hands‑on experience in feature testing / system validation / lab environments
• Good understanding of 5G architecture (NSA/SA, gNB, EN-DC)
• Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals and KPI analysis
• Experience with Nokia RAN (highly preferred)
• Ability to analyse logs, counters, traces, and troubleshoot issues
• Exposure to OSS tools and protocol analysis
• Basic scripting (Python/Shell) is a plus
